What is Faith?

Hebrews 11:1 says:

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

This is the Biblical definition of Faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. The word "Substance" from the Greek (G5287) translation means: The essence of firm trust, confidence and assurance. The word "Evidence" from the Greek (G1650) translation means: A proof of something, that by which a thing is proved or tested. Without Faith, it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6
